Brown Bear

Hi again, I took this picture when I went out to Alaska in July of 2007. This was one of the younger bears out there who was down stream. In case you don't know about Katmai, Alaska the dominant males are up at the falls and the females and cubs are further down stream. The dominant males will eat the brain and the skin of the salmon and then just let it go and it will float down stream and either a seagull or another bear further on down stream will eat the rest. A bear downstream could either wait for these scraps, try to catch their own fish or eat someone hiking out to the platform to view the bear. Thanks for viewing, Shane.

I bet those bears got one smell of you and decided against spoiled meat, LOL. Good start Shane, now to just keep up with it.

This photo is just awesome, loved your information. I never knew any of it, except the part about humans.
